Roku devices treat Prime Video like any other channel, but the sign-in still happens through amazon.com/mytv. This guide covers Roku streaming sticks, Roku Ultra, and Roku-powered TVs from TCL, Hisense, Onn, and Philips.

What you need to Use Amazon on Roku

  • A Roku device connected to Wi-Fi and updated to the latest software.
  • A Roku account (free to create at roku.com).
  • Your Amazon Prime login.
  • A phone or laptop for amazon.com/mytv.

Step-by-step Roku activation with amazon.com/mytv

1

Add the Prime Video channel

From the Roku home screen open Streaming Channels, search for Prime Video, and choose Add channel.
2

Open Prime Video

Launch the newly added channel. Select Sign in and start enjoying to display a 6-digit code.
3

Go to amazon.com/mytv

Open a browser on your phone, visit amazon.com/mytv, and log in to your Amazon account.
4

Enter the Roku code

Type the 6-digit code, press Continue, and confirm the device name (usually the Roku model).
5

Return to Roku

Prime Video refreshes automatically and shows your watchlist. If it does not, press the back button and reopen the channel.

Roku-specific tips

  • Keep Roku firmware updated from Settings > System > System update before using amazon.com/mytv.
  • On Roku TVs the Prime Video shortcut on the remote works only after activation.
  • If Prime Video is missing from your region, change the Roku store country in Settings > System > Advanced system settings, then retry amazon.com/mytv.
Use the Roku mobile app as a keyboard when signing in to amazon.com/mytv on the TV directly. It is faster than the physical remote.
